The second part of Dubai was when we enjoyed our stay even more. With accolades like having the tallest building in the world (Burj Khalifa), the biggest mall in the world (Dubai Mall), Dubai has come a long way from being just a desert. Despite what it has grown into in such a short time, each time popular travel sites posts about Dubai.
Dubai is opulent and dramatic. Everything you see was created by humans.
We stayed in Palm Jumeirah at the Five Palm. Standing proud on the impressive Palm island is was Five Palm. This five-star hotel chain had an unparalleled view. Views of the Burj Al Arab, Atlantis, The Marina.
The second part of the stay was visiting the desert. In a nutshell, the desert is one of the most unique locations I’ve ever been to, and the safari most definitely employs one of the most unforgettable methods to get there. If you’re planning to embark on a desert safari, I would suggest preparing yourself for one heck of a ride. Literally. Especially for first timers, I think you will find the journey quite something.
Standing in the desert was both different and at the same time exactly how I imagined. I am filled with awe and wonder, trying to compare the things I’ve seen in movies, read in books, from the actual sprawling terrain before me. The red sand is so fine it melts through the spaces between your fingers.
It was so beautiful. If you ever watched Aladdin as a kid it really reminded me of that. As we arrived to the sand dunes I couldn’t help but feel a huge gratitude towards life and what it has given me. To be here and witness this amazing work of mother nature was a blessing. A lot of things went through my head as I was driving in to the desert. It was peaceful. Couldn’t believe I was there, experiencing that moment of bliss. Just pure perfection.
